The performances of the Bolshoi Ballet next year will be seen by residents of Shanghai, TASS reports. Makhar Vaziev, who heads the ballet troupe, hopes for close cooperation with colleagues from China. According to him, both sides are striving for this. He also praised the level of ballet in China. Vaziev is sure that within a few years the art of ballet in China has made a huge breakthrough. The Bolshoi Theater will gladly invite Chinese dancers, the artistic director stressed.

There is a practice at the Bolshoi Theater when ballet stars from abroad are invited to perform in Moscow. It is quite possible that a Chinese duo will be invited to the Russian capital to perform on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater with a Russian troupe.

The day before, on July, 25, the tour of the Bolshoi Ballet in China began. The last time it came to China was five years ago. Russian dancers perform in Beijing.
