Diaghilev Ballet School in Tunisia performed at opening of African Beach Games

The school of Russian ballet, operating in Tunisia, performed at the opening ceremony of the African Beach Games, TASS reports. The studio, which bears the name of Sergei Diaghilev, works with the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo.

According to the head of the Russian House, Yuri Zaitsev, the audience gathered in the Dar Sebastian park in Hammamet. Inna Bushnak acted as the main choreographer of the opening ceremony. She has been the head of the ballet school for 30 years.

The African Beach Games are taking place for the 2nd time. The tournament has become a notable event for Tunisia. The opening ceremony was broadcast by all major television channels.

Yuri Zaitsev assured that the Russian House is doing everything necessary to promote national culture, and also provides assistance to creative teams led by immigrants from Russia.

More than 1,000 people from more than 50 countries of the continent are taking part in the African Beach Games. The list of games include beach tennis, volleyball, handball, football. There are also competitions in kayaking, sea rowing and others.
