A heart of flowers adorned Amsterdam's Leidseplein on the eve of May, 25, RIA Novosti reports. Residents of the Dutch capital brought flowers to the T-72 tank. It is believed that this is a Russian car, shot down during military operations in Ukraine.

People put several sunflowers on the burnt trunk, the flowers lie on the armor. There are metal fences all around.

The tank will remain in Amsterdam until June, 4.

The tank was brought to the Netherlands a month ago. It was installed at the Museum of Freedom, which is located in Groesbek, a Germany-bordering city. The museum is dedicated to the liberation of the Netherlands at the end of World War II.

The participants of the rally at the Museum of Freedom noted that they had gathered in memory of the Russian servicemen and civilians of Donbass who died at the hands of the Ukrainian security forces.

Before that, at the initiative of Ukrainian activists, a tank was installed in Berlin next to the building of the Russian embassy. However, the effect of the rally turned out to be the opposite of what was expected. Residents of Germany began to lay flowers at the tank, expressing support for Russia and calling for peace talks.
