Days of Russian Culture were held in Chad

Various cultural events will be held in Chad from May, 6 to May, 9 as part of the Days of Russian Culture. Opening the program, Russian Ambassador to this African country Vladimir Sokolenko noted the progress in developing cooperation between two states, the Russian Foreign Ministry reports.

The relations between Russia and Chad are on the rise. The number of young citizens of Chad who study in Russian universities has reached a historical maximum - the quota of the Russian Government for Chad exceeds 200 places. 

The Days of Russian Culture in Chad were widely covered in the local media.

Cooperation between Russia and Chad also extends to the scientific sphere. This year, for the first time, Russian scientists took part in archaeological excavations in Chad, the expedition was the first in 50 years. The results of the excavations allowed a representative of the Institute of Archeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences to make important historical discoveries.
