The Russian film studio Soyuzmultfilm has sold the rights to screen the animated musical series Enotki (''Raccoons'') to the Chinese platform Youku (Alibaba Group). The talks are underway to sell three more series. In addition, China expressed interest in acquiring the rights to the Soyuzmultfilm library, TASS reports.

The chairman of the board of directors of the film studio, Yuliana Slashcheva, noted that Soyuzmultfilm is actively trying to overcome the difficulties associated with entering the Chinese market and establish regular cooperation with Chinese partners.

The studio plans to intensify efforts to gain popularity among viewers in Asia, Latin America and Africa, these areas can become an alternative to the Western film market. A presence in international markets is necessary to recoup the costs of producing films and series.

Slashcheva noted that Soyuzmultfilm is currently discussing cooperation with the UAE and Saudi Arabia, as well as expanding joint production with Armenia.
