Russian volunteers participating in the World Cup in Qatar held the Day of National Culture for volunteers from other countries with the support of the Russian Embassy. The guests listened to Russian folk songs, tasted Russian sweets and received souvenirs, TASS reports.

All foreign volunteers - about 2,000 people - settled in one hotel. According to Anatoly Savinov, one of the organizers of the event, the Russians decided to present their country in the form of a large-scale holiday.

With the help of the diplomatic mission, it was possible to organize a concert of the singing ensemble, whose members performed Russian folk songs and held competitions and interesting games. The guests were also treated to Russian cuisine prepared by volunteers, and Russian sweets.

The holiday was held outdoors on the sports ground, which was decorated with Russian flags and Russian inscriptions.
