Day of Russian Culture held in Serbia

The Day of Russian Culture was organized in Kraljevo, Serbia, the day before, on May, 24, Balkanist reports. It was timed to coincide with the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture.

The program of the holiday included the opening of an exhibition of works by artists from Serbia and Russia. There was also a fair of products made by folk craftsmen, and a tasting of dishes of traditional Russian cuisine. The guests were invited to the screening of Sky by Russian director Igor Kopylov.

The city authorities, the representative office of Rossotrudnichestvo, the International Foundation for the Spiritual Unity of Peoples, the Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots in Serbia and the "Heart of a Hero" organization of veterans acted as the organizer.

Among the audience were local residents, guests from other Serbian cities and Russian compatriots.
