Russian compatriots, immigrants from Russia and other people who speak Russian have become victims of crimes in Germany. Since the moment when Russia launched a military special operation in Ukraine, there have been more than 700 crimes against them, TASS reports.

In total, police registered 701 offenses. During the same time, almost 600 crimes were committed against immigrants from Ukraine. A special information center Isa Kiew have been created to collect data.

Discrimination against Russian Germans and the Russian-speaking population of Germany is a matter of internal policy, according to Bundestag deputy from the Alternative for Germany (AfD) Yevgeny Schmidt. In his opinion, the reason for the growth of aggressive Russophobia in the country lies in the course that Berlin is conducting. Russophobia is also fueled by the government-controlled media. Evgeny Schmidt became a co-founder of a non-profit organization that works to protect the rights of Russian-speaking people in Germany. According to him, the main task will be to prevent discrimination against Russian Germans, Russian-speaking residents of the country. He promised that the victims would receive legal assistnce from lawyers.

Previously, more than 200 complaints about the manifestation of Russophobia were received by specialists of the international humanitarian project For the Rights of Compatriots. Russians living abroad send complaints on the manifestation of discrimination on national and linguistic grounds.
