Russian language courses for believers of the parish of the Archangel Michael in Kuala Lumpur have opened with the blessing of the Patriarchal Exarch of Southeast Asia, Metropolitan Sergius of Singapore and Southeast Asia,  the telegram channel of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Southeast Asia reports.

Parishioners of the temple - teachers of Russian as a foreign language - conduct classes in the school. Lessons are held on Sundays.

Residents of Malaysia also have the opportunity to learn the Russian language and get acquainted with the culture of Russia in the Russian House in Kuala Lumpur. In early June, students from the largest university in the south of the country paid a visit to the institution for the first time. The group included 80 students and university staff. An extensive program of the history and culture of Russia was organized for them. The guests attended master classes of Russian dances, a Russian language class, and tasted Russian cuisine.
