Argentina and Iran apply to join BRICS

Tehran and Buenos Aires have applied to join the BRICS, RIA Novosti reports.

Moscow, in turn, assured that they support the expansion of the BRICS. Nevertheless, according to Russian Presidential Aide Yury Ushakov, the Russian authorities believe that it is first of all important to establish the procedure for entry and determine the requirements for possible candidates.
 
Earlier, the BRICS leaders met at the forum. where they raised questions about the possibilities for developing relations between the five countries in various fields - from culture and politics to economics and trade. In addition, the heads of state discussed important issues of the situation in the international arena.

The BRICS countries are developing cooperation on the whole spectrum of problems, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted. The head of state noted that the role of BRICS is very important in the formation of a multipolar system of interstate relations.
