Russian language courses to open in Yemen

Saint Petersburg State University (SPbSU) will help the University of Aden from Yemen to open online courses of Russian as a foreign language (RFL). The agreement was reached during the visit of a delegation from Yemen to the St. Petersburg university, Krasnaya Vesna news agency reports.

During the meeting, which was attended by the Ambassador of Yemen to Russia, Ahmed Salem Al-Vaheishi, the guests spoke about the difficulties in organizing the study of the Russian language in their country. Representatives of Yemen turned to the St. Petersburg university for help in the field of electronic educational technologies that help improve the quality of education.

Valeria Malomuzh, Acting Vice-Rector for International Affairs of the St. Petersburg University, said that SPbSU is aware of the popularity of the Russian language and Russian education in Yemen and is ready to provide the necessary assistance.

The guests learned about the introduction of classes into the educational process and the features of virtual courses and expressed their readiness to develop cooperation in this direction.
