Russian journalists are no longer allowed to attend meetings of European Parliament

Access to the buildings of the European Parliament was has been suspended for Russian journalists, TASS reports. The President of the European Parliament (EP), Roberta Metsola, announced the day before, June 2, that they were forbidden to attend plenary sessions.

According to her, in this way, European parliamentarians protest against the way Moscow covers what is happening in Ukraine.

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry called repression against Russian journalists and media in Europe  another demonstration of "double standards." The 6th package of  European anti-Russian sanctions included a ban on the broadcasting of three more Russian TV channels. The media space in the West is completely cleared of signs of freedom of speech, the department explained.
