The work of Fyodor Dostoevsky became the main topic of a literary event, which took place in Cairo, the Rossotrudnichestvo website reports. It was held by the Russian House with the assistance of the Egyptian Organization of Graduates of Russian and Soviet Universities. The evening was timed to coincide with the writers's 200th anniversary, which took place last year.

The evening was organized as part of the Cairo International Book Fair. The large-scale forum of book publishers and writers has been held in Cairo for more than 50 years.

Among the participants were Russian emigrants, and residents of Egypt interested in Russian culture and literature.
