Russian team wins international programming competition

Russian IT specialists won the final round of the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC), TASS reports. The team earned three out of four gold medals and a bronze one. The cup and one gold medal were awarded to students of the Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod. Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and St. Petersburg ITMO University students received gold medals as well. The HSE University students were awarded the bronze medal.

As Russkiy Mir reported, more than 350 young IT speacialists from 42 countries took part in the competition, the number of teams exceeded 100. The tournament took place at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT). It is supported by the Ministry of Digital Development, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and the Moscow government.

Russia was represented by 10 teams from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Samara, Perm, Nizhny Novgorod, Volgograd and Izhevsk.
