Moscow leads world rating in urban transport efficiency

The Russian capital topped the McKinsey international rating for the efficiency of urban transport, RIA Novosti reports.

The Moscow Department of Transport specified that the main the Russian capital surpassed many other cities with the short waiting time and high speed of urban transport in a rush hour.

The department noted that the capital's transport achieved high success and record figures thanks to the professionalism of its stuff. The rating showed that residents' confidence in public transport is growing.

Deputy Mayor of Moscow Maxim Liksutov noted that the development of urban transport and road safety is one of the main priorities of the Moscow city administration. He stressed that the city pays lot of attention to the development of environmentally friendly public transport.
