Sputnik Light has proven a high degree of safety when used together with other vaccines, RIA Novosti reports. As the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) informed, this topic is being under research in Argentina.

More than 120 volunteers were vaccinated with Sputnik Light in combination with AstraZeneca, Moderna and Sinopharm. The obtained results were compared with the control group, which get first and second components of Sputnik V.

It turned out that all combinations are safe, no serious side effects have been identified.

According to the head of RDIF Kirill Dmitriev, the use of the two jabs presents an amazing perspective for combating the current pandemic and new strains of coronavirus. He added that RDIF is open to developing cooperation with other manufacturers in order to continue research.

As Russkiy Mir reported earlier, the Sputnik Light single-component vaccine was registered in Russia in May. Volunteers from Russia, the United Arab Emirates, and Ghana, took part in this research. Taking into account variety of parameters, including age and gender, experts decided that the Sputnik Light efficiency is about 78 percent. This is higher than many other jabs requiring two injections, the RDIF reported.
