The auction of Russian art will be held by the Christie’s auction house in the British capital, The Art Newspaper Russia writes. The organizers promise to hold the auction according to the planned schedule despite the unfavorable epidemiological situation. They will not change the traditional format either, but they will refuse the presence of the public in the hall. Buyers will be able to submit their bid by phone or online.

Among the top lots is the painting by Mikhail Nesterov - "Holy Lake", its starting price reaches 300,000 pounds. The canvas was in a private collection and has not been exhibited for almost a century.

Collectors will be offered two works by the great marine painter Ivan Aivazovsky: "The Tempest" was estimated at 350,000 pounds, and the estimate of the "Genoese Towers on the Black Sea" reaches 900,000 pounds.

The paintings of Zinaida Serebyakova, Alexandra Exter and other Russian artists will go under the hammer. Nicholas Roerich's canvas Yarilin's bells was again put up for auction. Christie’s offers two sculptures, cast in bronze, modeled by Yevgeny Lanceray "Kirgiz with an Eagle" and "Sokolnichy".
