Young Russians continue to return home from overseas, TASS reports. About a dozen schoolchildren will become passengers of the Aeroflot flight from New York. The plane will fly from John F. Kennedy Airport on Friday night, Moscow time. Igor Kochan, the head of the Russian Youth of America public association, promised that children will be met by compatriots who will take them to the registration desk.

The Russian Embassy has repeatedly expressed gratitude to this organization. Members of the Russian Youth of America have developed a schedule for meetings of teenagers at airports and their delivery to check-in counters. In addition, compatriots provided Russians with lodging for the night and basic necessities.

Russkiy Mir reported that the children went to the United States as early as the autumn, but the Russian Foreign Ministry was not notified about the trip. Diplomats had to independently search for children who were scattered throughout American territory, many of them wanted to return home as quickly as possible. Some teens had to get to New York with a lot of changes. The embassy pays for their transportation costs, said Russian Ambassador Anatoly Antonov. The diplomatic mission staff constantly kept in touch with their parents. At the same time, the State Department has withdrawn from solving this problem.
