The authorities of the Saratov region announced their intention to create video guides in Chinese and English. It is assumed that the guides will attract residents of different countries to virtual travels in the region, introduce them to the sights of the Saratov region and lead to an increase in tourist flow, TASS reports.

According to the head of the Saratov Region Tourism Committee, Victoria Borodyanskaya, video guides will open sights, natural beauties and features of the region to foreigners. The regional authorities plan to announce a competition for the right to create a video guide in foreign languages.

Victoria Borodyanskaya said that the video guides will include information about the leading museums of the region, for example, the estate of the Russian painter Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin in Khvalynsk and the Saratov Victory Park. The places and objects that can attract international attention include the landing site of cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, and objects related to the history of the Volga Germans. To this day, there are residential buildings, temples and other buildings erected by them in the region.

The head of the tourism committee called the creation of video guides a step in attracting tourists to the region. The number of foreign tourists in the region has been growing in recent years, and last year almost reached 100,000 people.
