Moscow State Lomonosov University was among the leaders in cooperation with industry, innovation and infrastructure development in the new Times Higher Education (THE) University Impact Rankings. The oldest Russian university was included in the top 15 universities around the world, TASS reports.

In addition, the university was ranked among the 200 best higher education institutions in the world for the total number of criteria, as well as for certain areas. It is considered one of the best in creating a solid infrastructure, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialization and introducing innovations. The university is also noted for providing an inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting learning opportunities for all throughout life.

According to the rector of Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnichy, the university has shown excellent results. This was largely due to the implementation of major infrastructure projects, primarily the construction of the Vorobyovy Gory scientific and technological cluster.

Almost 770 universities representing 85 countries became participants in the rating. Nearly 50 Russian universities are among them. By the number of universities, Russia succumbed only to Japan, which has 63 universities in the rating.

Russian Pirogov National Research Medical University became the leader among Russian universities in the Good health and well-being category. It is in the 65 position. St. Petersburg Pavlov State Medical University took 95th place.

Kazan, Ryazan, Samara State Medical Universities and Sechenov University also fell into the group of 101-200 places.
