Russian Culture Festival takes place in New Delhi

Russian folk dances performed by the Yunost ensemble from Novomoskovsk were shown to New Delhi viewers. The concert opened the Culture Festival, dedicated to the 55th anniversary of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in the Indian capital, the Rossotrudnichestvo website reports.

The guests of the festival were Russian and foreign diplomats, famous politicians and public figures of India, representatives of foreign cultural centers, journalists and Russian compatriots living in the Indian capital. The event was attended by Andrei Klimov, Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Russian Federation Committee on Foreign Affairs.

The tour program of the Yunost ensemble was designed to familiarize foreigners with traditional Russian dance and folk song. The world famous Russian songs “Kalinka”, “Valenoks” and many others were played at the concert. The ensemble continued its tour in Mumbai and will soon come to Nepal.
