Thirteen foreign countries are included in the Big Tour program in 2020, TASS reports. Belarus, Lithuania, Georgia, Tajikistan, Estonia, Abkhazia are among them. Twelve Russian theaters are planning to go on tour.

In total, more than 250 performance teams are going to take part in it. Almost 120 theaters from more than 70 regions participate in the interregional program, including the musical theater of the Republic of Crimea, the Komi-Perm Gorky National Drama Theater, and Kaliningrad Drama Theater. The program helps to promote regional theaters on a national level.

Youth theaters are also planning to go on tour in 70 Russian regions. Little-known children's and youth theaters, as well as famous ones, participate in the program.

Russkiy Mir reported that the Big Tour federal program has been implemented since 2014. The country's leading theaters perform in all Russian regions. In addition, the Big Tours also go international: theaters from Russia perform in other countries, and Russian-speaking foreign groups come to visit. Last year, over 270 theaters participated in the program; they staged about 2,000 performances.
