Foreign students prefer summer and winter Russian language and culture schools among other educational programs organised by Russian universities. Students from abroad pay attention not only to content of one or another program, but also to the cultural component and living conditions. This is evidenced by a study of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (PFUR or RUDN), RIA Novosti reports.

The opinion poll was attended by more than five hundred students from 74 countries who became students of schools and courses organized by fifteen Russian universities. The most popular among respondents are technical specialties, medicine, economics, international relations and other disciplines.

The study showed that foreign youth assesses the fullness and simplicity of web pages devoted to summer schools and short-term courses. Also, when choosing a school and university, students are guided by the feedback of participants and photo reports. In addition, a long and multi-stage registration on the site can scare off potential applicants.

The opportunity to visit new places also adds popularity to summer programms, since young people, in addition to studying, want to get acquainted with the sights.
