The exhibition of Russian artists, organized by the Academy of Arts for the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Russia and China, has become one of the central events of the Week of Russian Culture, which opened in the city of Sanya, Hainan Province and will last until December 16. The program also included a concert by the Gzhel Dance Theater, screenings of Russian cartoons and other events, TASS reports.

According to the dean of the faculty of arts Alexander Chuvin, the exhibition provides an opportunity for visitors to get acquainted with the beauties of Russian nature.

Two years ago, the Academy of Arts and Hainan signed a memorandum of cooperation, and the current exhibition was the second in the framework of the document. Alexander Chuvin said that the university was interested in holding a joint exhibition of Russian and Chinese teachers and students. According to the dean, such an exhibition will help determine what brings the artists of the two countries together.

As part of the Russian Culture Week, Chinese spectators will enjoy a concert of the renowned Moscow Gzhel Dance Theater and shows of masterpieces of Soviet and Russian animation.
