Lomonosov MSU named the most prestigious Russian university

Lomonosov Moscow State University has received the title of the most prestigious national university, according to the reputation rating of RUR (Reputation World University Ranking), TASS reports. In addition, the oldest Russian university is among the top fifty universities in the ranking.

When compiling the list, the experts took into account two conditions: the university’s reputation in the field of teaching and in research.

The number of universities on the list exceeded eight hundred. Of these, 73 represent Russian higher education. They have been evaluated by the professional academic community.

Lomonosov Moscow State University is in the forty-fifth position. The university is in the top 50 of the world's most recognized educational brands in the field of education for the second time. Second place among Russian universities is the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. He is on the ninety-ninth line. And the third, in the hundred and eighteenth place, was St. Petersburg State University.

Russkiy Mir reported that in September Moscow State University led the Russian version of the university ranking RUR.

The second place was taken by another metropolitan university - MEPhI, and Tomsk State University ranked third in the ranking. The ranking includes 74 universities from 31 regions of the country.
