May 2 has marked five years since the terrible tragedy, which occurred in 2014 in Odessa,  the Russian Foreign Ministry recalls. The whole civilized world was shocked by the death of people in the House of Unions. It is the result of the course of nationalist forces who came to power in Ukraine after the state coup.

Russkiy Mir reported that the activists of the Right Sector group (banned in Russia) attacked the tent camp of supporters of the federalization of Ukraine. The latter tried to hide from the radicals in the House of  unions but they set fire to the building. Almost fifty people were killed that day, more than two hundred were wounded. Until now, Kiev did not find any initiators or those responsible for this crime. Even the actions of international organizations and human rights defenders who called for a careful and scrupulous investigation did not help. Ukrainian regime is making all the efforts to deceive the investigation on the brakes.

Russia’s MFA is confident that this fact proves the involvement of the Ukrainian higher circles to the crime.

The fact that the Ukrainian law enforcement agencies continue to prosecute those who manage to escape from the radicals is outrageous, the MFA states.

The western patrons of Ukrainian power also prefer to keep silence. They do not want to admit that their wards spilled the blood of innocent people.

Russia gives tribute to the victims and does not lose hope that Ukraine will still create conditions under which the authorities of this country will find the forces to conduct an objective and impartial investigation, and all those responsible for the crime will be punished.
