Festival of Slavic Culture held in Arizona

Festival of Slavic Culture was held in Phoenix, the USA, Russian America newspaper writes. The first experience of such a large-scale event in Arizona took place six years ago. Compatriots managed to realize the dreams of its repetition in 2019.

Local bands played Russian folk songs, and Soviet era songs at the concert opening the festival. 

Ballet studio students performed a dance of little swans from Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake ballet. The festival hosted the debut of local dance ensemble. Its participants proved that they spent two months since its creation not in vain. The ensemble of Russian folk instruments performed.

Everyone was invited to the fair of Russian crafts. Guests could purchase bead jewelry, hand-painted matryoshkas, vases, glassware, Russian traditional treats and much more. 

Americans showed great interest in Russian festival, and the number of visitors to the festival exceeded 3000.
