Yandex Self-Driving Car presentation was the most significant event at the CES exhibition in Las Vegas, US, Vesti.ru reports. 

Such influential media as New York Times and Wired Magazine published articles dedicated to the new car

Famous videoblogger Marques Brownlee made the video about Yandex Self-Driving Car which gained nearly 2 million views. 


American market of self-driving cars is thought to be the most advanced in the world, but Yandex car made an impression on Las Vegas inhabitants. The head of Yandex Self-Driving Car project and ride-along engineer Dmitry Polischuk stayed on the driver's seat to make sure everything goes smoothly. According to him, Yandex decided to assemble a vehicle in US because its transportation from Russia could cause problems with customs and certification. Therefore, the self-driving feature was installed on the car aqcuired in US.
