The International Research and Educational Program BRICS School has opened in Moscow on August 28. It is aimed to train specialists in political, economic and humanitarian interaction among the member-states, reports the State Duma Committee on Education and Science's press service.

At the opening ceremony the Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education and Science, Chairman of the NRC on BRICS Vyacheslav Nikonov called BRICS an "organization of the future".

"BRICS is a new format of interaction between states' leaders, between participants of a huge number of working groups and academic forums. BRICS is the organization of the future, and today we are talking about creating this future," the politician stressed.

He added that the organization should train young specialists interested in developing relations between the countries and BRICS institutions strengthening.

Nikonov highly appreciated the participants' skills. They had to pass a competition, learn much about BRICS, Russia and world politics, have a serious linguistic background, the Chairman of the NRC BRICS Board said.

Answering the journalists' question about the potential for interaction between the BRICS and Russkiy Mir Foundation Vyacheslav Nikonov recalled that there are large Russian communities in all BRICS countries, so "interaction with our compatriots is crucial".

"In addition, one of the BRICS weak points is that we know more about the Western culture than about each other's culture. The Russkiy Mir Foundation can become one of the tools for Russia to represent to our partners Russian culture, Russian language and Russian literature and develop contacts essential in the modern world, "the politician said.

After the opening ceremony Vyacheslav Nikonov delivered a lecture titled "Russia and the World".

The work of the BRICS School will last until August 30.
