The second Russian Choral Assembly will take place in the French capital in October, the World Coordinating Council of Russian Compatriots Living Abroad reports. The forum, run by the Russian singer and world opera star Lyubov Kazarnovskaya, will be held in the Russian Orthodox Spiritual and Cultural Center in Paris.

The Choral Assembly is aimed to preserve and increase the Russian choral heritage maintained in France and in other European countries. According to the organizers, choral singing in its various forms is part of the Russian intangible cultural heritage. It always takes a special place in the Russian compatriots association activity abroad.

In addition, the Assembly becomes a communication platform for the leaders of choral groups to exchange experiences, discuss new ideas, and find solutions to common problems.

The first assembly started a good tradition of regular meetings and contacts among those who work in the field of preserving and propagating the best traditions of Russian choral music.

The Assembly program includes creative meetings, workshops and roundtables.

Singing groups from France, Russia and other countries are invited to participate in the choral assembly.
