Day dedicated to Marina Tsvetaeva held in Paris suburb

Day dedicated to Marina Tsvetaeva was held in Vanves, France, L'Observateur Russe reports. Russian poet of the Silver Age used to live in this city. Now Florent Delporte who lives in Tsvetaeva apartment nowadays, was present at the event organized by Marina Tsvetaeva. Stars – Avers Association. 

The bust of the great Russian poet embellished the main staircase. The sculptor Andrey Turtushnikov has presented Tsvetaeva bust to the city in 2016. There are also photographs and archival documents that all dedicated to her biography. 

Vanves is a closest and most populous commune in the southwestern suburbs of Paris. 80 years ago Marina Tsvetaeva bade farewell  to her Vanves apartment located on rue Jean-Baptiste Potin, 65. After spending 17 years in  Vanves, and always remembered picturesque views from the window.  “This house I love and will love until I am alive,” she used to say. 

Today Florent Delporte looks from these windows at the same landscape. When he found out the literary story of this house and took a closer look at the Marina Tsvetaeva's poems, he “unwittingly fell in love.” He has started to learn Russian language and stage plays dedicated to the art of the great Russian poet. Like-minded poetry fans joined him, and the Association dedicated to the Marina Tsvetaeva was created.
