Holocaust: Destruction, Liberation, Salvation photography exhibition opens in Prague, TASS reports.

The event is organized by Russian scientific and educational center Holocaust and Russian Jewish Congress with support of the Russian MFA.

The exposition is dedicated to the Fascist concentration camps' liberation by Red Army in the USSR, Poland, Czech Republic, and Germany.

There are more than 80 documentary shots from Russian, Israel, German and US archives among the showpieces. The exhibition is located in the Czech Parliament library. Local officials, politicians, public figures and all interested in WW2 history were present at the opening.

According to the Russian Ambassador in Czech Republic Alexander Zmeevsky, the exhibition plays very important role in keeping people's memory on the horrors of fascism and its innocent victims. Nazi wanted to eliminate the «second-class citizens», including Jewish and Slavic nationalities. The Ambassador underlined that we should remember our recent history nowadays, to prevent possible tragedies in the future. «We have to stop any history falsification attempts,» Mr. Zmeevsky concluded.
