17.11.2017

The public defender asks to investigate this case as more objective as possible and facilitate family preservation within their competence.

It is worth reminding that social service took over the elder daughter of Elena Smolenchuk and passed the child over to the foster family, as the service received information that the child was hit by the T-shirt. Russian citizen has claimed that she is refused to see the daughter for more than a month and added that social services promise to arrange a meeting in the closest future.

Elena’s husband is a citizen of Finland and two her daughters 9 and 12 years of age do not have Russian citizenship.
According to Anna Kuznetsova, absence of Russian citizenship hinders rendering assistance of Russian authorities in this situation.
Russian diplomats keep in touch with the woman and are ready to render Smolenchuk all necessary assistance.
