08.11.2017

Flickr/skhakirovHead of International Committee of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev described a possible break of diplomatic relations with Moscow by Kiev as an irresponsible and destructive move. He believes that this measure will destroy the Ukrainian side, first of all, RIA Novosti informs.

Mass media reported earlier that the bill about Donbass reintegration would be amended by a paragraph about break of diplomatic relations with Russia.

The senator is sure that this intention of Verkhovna Rada proves again that politicians at Ukraine are playing the mock battles a lot.
Russian politician has explained that USA lead the same game. US Congress is constantly toughening measures against Russia, despite there are no hostile actions taken by Russia.

In case the Ukrainian authorities decide to break off diplomatic relations, the consequences will hit millions of Ukrainian citizens – this step supposes decrease or full stop of mutual consulate exchange between Russia and Ukraine.

Kosachev is sure that this step will not play in Poroshenko’s favor, considering expectations of the Western countries regarding Ukraine.
Another member of the Federation Council Alexey Pushkov considers that Kiev will lose much more than Russia in case the break of bilateral relations happens. At this, the senator is sure that Ukraine is quite capable to cut off the nose to spite the face.
