Russian Eco Week 2017 opened in Moscow

garant.ruRussian Eco Week 2017 started on October 18th. It will be conducted at the Manege Square in Moscow until 22nd of October 2017, TASS reports.

The third Eco Week was opened by Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Sergey Donskoy. He believes, that it is very important that this event joins ecologists and volunteers.

He looked around the pavilions with various green products including bamboo kitchen utensils, a bed of moss, useful mobile applications and many other goods. People are welcome to try national green products, buy clothes of nonpolluting tissues, items of wood and other things.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated the participants of the event. In his opinion, it is a very substantial and versatile project directed at development of ecological culture, promotion of national environmentally friendly values. The head of state has noted that these questions are of special importance in the Year of Ecology in Russia.

Master-classes and lectures on ecological topics will be organized on this Eco Week here.

The Week is one of the main events of the Year of Ecology. Its agenda includes International business forum, Youth ecological forum, Exhibition of modern achievements of science and manufacturing in the environmental and energy saving sectors, Green Century film eco festival and Eco fashion shows.

Overall, almost seven thousand environmentally oriented activities are planned as a part of the Year of Ecology in our country. Moscow, Tyumen and Saratov are the most active cities of the programme.
