Device for remote Mars investigation brought victory to the schoolboy from Pyatigorsk

Igor Polskiy//stapravda.ru Mars-Walker Crocodile-4 constructed by 12-year-old middle school student from Pyatigorsk won All-Russian Youth Contest of Scientific Technical Creativity, as per TASS.

Pupil from Pyatigorsk secondary state school No. 20 of, the Stavropol Region, Igor Polsky impressed the jury and experts by his unusual device presented at the contest. His Marsokhod - Mars research vehicle, took the first prize at the topic group of transport systems.

The pupil has told reports that his robot is intended for remote research activities of the Red Planet landscape. By the way, he developed software for controlling Marsokhod too.

Igor Polsky is studying at the Youth Innovation Creativity Center. Hi-tech Impulse Center has all necessary advanced equipment for constructing Crocodile-4.

The contest has been arranged for fifty years. Sixty projects were selected for the final stage of this contest in total.
