First international road tour of Alexandrov Ensemble will take place in Istanbul

aif.ru Turkish audience will soon enjoy performance of the Alexandrov Ensemble, as per RIA Novosti. The renowned ensemble will give first concerts abroad after the Sochi airplane crash in Istanbul on April 7 – 8. The first concert welcomes only officials, whereas everybody is invited to attend the second concert. Iosif Kobzon will arrive at Turkey together with the Ensemble. Performers will sign Russian folk songs as well as Turkish songs.

Recasting is to finish by the end of January. Renewed Alexandrov Ensemble gave a concert on February 16 for the first time after the tragedy.

Resurrection of the creative group is considered to be the main task of Defense Ministry, which managed to complete a major work resulting in the successful concert.

According to Deputy Defense Minister Nikolay Pankov, the main obligation before the people who were deprived of their lives at the end of last year is to save the unique Ensemble. Deputy Minister underlined that memory of all the perished people would live forever “We remember and love them”, he added.

As the Russkiy Mir Foundation informed, the Alexander Ensemble plans a road tour to France already next month. Another road tour is planned in spring: Slovak and Czech audiences are waiting for the renowned choir performers.
