Russian beauty Yulia Shevchenko claimed the second spot at the Mrs. Europe 2023 contest in Istanbul, earning the title of First Vice-Miss Europe 2023 at the age of 40, TASS reports.

Contestants from various European countries competed for the crown.

Mrs Shevchenko, hailing from Anapa, manages hotels in the Krasnodar region, engages in interior design, and is a member of the United Russia party. Despite anti-Russian sentiments in some countries, she expressed joy at representing Russia and being among the prize winners at her first beauty contest experience.

It's worth mentioning that several days ago Ilyuza Isyandavletova from Bashkiria region of Russia was recognized as the most beautiful woman in Asia at an international contest in India. The 22-year-old model from Bashkiria won the Grand Prix and received the winner's crown, Rossiyskaya Gazeta's Telegram channel reported.
