Russia did it's best but has to leave FIFA World Cup

Russian football players lost to their competitors from Croatia in the quarterfinals of the FIFA World Cup-2018, TASS reports. The main time, as well as additional time of the match, ran out with a score of 2:2. The penalty series brought victory to the Croatians, who scored by one goal more. 

Thus, the national football team leaves the FIFA World Cup-2018. 

The match was played at the Fisht Olympic Stadium in Sochi. The math hit the box office, visited by more than 44 000 fans.
 
Denis Cheryshev was the author of the first score. It was his fourth score at these competitions. The Russian full-back Mario Fernandes hit the rival gates for the second time leading the math to a penalty series.

Now the Croatian team will meet the British team at the semifinals. The Englishmen won the match with Sweden with a score of 2:0 yesterday. The match is appointed for July 11. It will take place at Luzhniki stadium in Moscow. 

The second semi-finals are scheduled for July 10. The French are to meet the Belgium team in Saint Petersburg.
