On June 15 a Russkiy Mir Cabinet was opened at Universidade do Minho (Minho University) in the city of Braga, Portugal. Below is an interview with one of the initiators of the opening of this mini-Russian language library, Nadejda Ivanovna Nagovitsina Machado, a lecturer at the university’s Institute of Arts and Human Sciences.
– How did the idea of opening the Russkiy Mir Cabinet arise?
– The suggestion was first made by Rossotrudnichestvo representative Vladimir Shatalin, who knew about the teaching of Russian language at our university and many cultural events which we hold, some of which were organized with support from the Russian Embassy.
