This new publication is a joint effort of the Pushkin Institute in Tallinn and the philology department of Moscow State University.
The journal's editorial staff includes leading experts in Russian studies from Russia, France, Germany, Spain, Finland, Poland, China, Iran and others. Among them are such well-known linguists as Yuri Prokhorov, rector of the State Pushkin Institute of Russian Language, dean of the Moscow State University’s philology department Marina Remneva, Granada University Professor and a member of the MAPRYAL Presidium Guzman Tirado.
Editor-in-chief, PhD in pedagogics and author of numerous Estonian textbooks on the Russian language Inga Mangus noted: “A wide range of problems related to the modern conditions and functionality of Russian will be discussed on the pages of our periodical. In particular, we'll be addressing the issues of Russian grammar, phonetics, stylistics, socio- and psycholinguistics, discourse analysis and textual linguistics, the history of the Russian language, etc. There will be a compulsory column devoted to reviewing the most interesting professional publications that have come out recently.”
This will presumably be a yearly hard copy and electronic edition. The first issue will be available free of charge on the website of Pushkin Institute in Tallinn.
