Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic praised Russian culture, TASS reports. According to him, literature, fine arts, sculpture and other areas of Russian culture occupy key positions in the world rankings. The President called Fyodor Dostoevsky his favorite writer. He noted that he values him above all writers in the world.

Aleksandar Vucic previously said that at one time he read all the books by Fyodor Dostoevsky. The politician is sure that not many Serbian residents can boast of this. He believes that Dostoevsky’s work is much more important than all the works of all other writers in the world.

The Serbian leader shared his opinion about Russian culture during a visit to the Russian House in Belgrade. His visit took place on Wednesday, January, 10. A tour of the library, which is located in the Russian Center for Science and Culture, was given to him by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko and the head of the Center Evgeny Baranov. The President signed the book of honored guests, which had been kept in the Russian House for more than 90 years. The records of King Alexander, Fyodor Chaliapin, and other eminent guests were preserved there.

Aleksandar Vucic is sure that relations between the two countries will continue to develop, and also wished success to the Russian House in Russian.

He said that Belgrade and Moscow are connected by brotherhood that has survived in the face of difficulties. The head of the Russian center, Evgeny Baranov, presented the president with a painting by Anatoly Ivakin, which depicts the Russian House in Belgrade. The Serbian President was also presented with a library card from the library located at the Center.
