Soiree dedicated to Fyodor Tyutchev held in Australia

A literary soiree dedicated to the life and work of the great Russian poet Fyodor Tyutchev took place in Australia. The event took place as part of a series of meetings of the Literary Society at the Sydney Russian Club. Earlier, admirers of Russian poetry were introduced to the works of Ivan Bunin, Boris Pasternak, Anna Akhmatova and other Russian classics, the Edinenie newspaper reports.

The guests of the evening got acquainted with the biography and works of Tyutchev. The organizers spoke about the poet’s life, his most striking works, members of the writer’s family and his descendants, who did a lot to preserve the memory of Fyodor Tyutchev and his poems.

The poet’s works were recited during the event. A documentary dedicated to Tyutchev was also screened during the evening.
