A concert by Mariinsky Theater Orchestra closed Russian Seasons festival in Uzbekistan

Culmination of the Russian Seasons in Uzbekistan concluded with a captivating performance by the Mariinsky Theater Symphony Orchestra. As reported on the festival's Telegram channel, the concert unfolded on December, 14 in Tashkent. The talented musicians showcased a repertoire featuring compositions by Tchaikovsky, Shchedrin, Bizet, and other esteemed domestic and international composers whose musical creations have earned a place in the golden treasury of world culture.

Artistic Director Valery Gergiev was conducting his orchestra. Laureates of the Tchaikovsky International Competition took to the stage. Opera Soloist Zinaida Tsarenko, flautist Sofia Wieland, pianist Sergei Davydchenko, violinist Ravil Islyamov and opera soloist Maxim Lisin were among them.

The opening was accompanied by an exhibition of photographs that captured the most interesting moments of the Russian Seasons in Uzbekistan.

As it was reported before, Russian Seasons opened in Tashkent in May. The large-scale festival of Russian culture in Uzbekistan included dozens of different events and activities, including concerts, performances, exhibitions, movie screenings and educational projects.
