The Heritage Club has been funded in Chile. It will work at the Russian House site, Rossotrudnichestvo reports. The new organization united the descendants of the first wave of Russian emigration. Their ancestors were forced to leave their homeland after the October Revolution of 1917.

The President of the Chilean Chamber of Mines, Miguel Zaushkevich, whose father founded the 1st Orthodox church in the Chilean capital, recalled that family roots go back to Russia, and the connection with it should not be interrupted. It is important that future generations remember this, so that children and grandchildren can speak Russian, know Russian culture and remember the heritage of their ancestors.

The manager of the affairs of the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society (IOPS), Daniil Burdyga, who spoke online, called strengthening ties in the cultural and humanitarian sphere between people and nations one of the main goals of the IOPS. He promised that the society would provide the club with lecturers who would tell its participants about national history. In addition, he welcomed the creation of a branch of the IOPS in Chile.

The head of the Russian House, Nina Milovidova, spoke about plans to open a museum of Russian emigration in the country.
