Center for Open Education in Russian opened in Republic of Congo

The Voronezh Pedagogical University opened the Center for Open Education in Russian and Russian Language Teaching in Brazzaville, the capital of the Republic of Congo, the telegram channel of the Center for International Cooperation reports.

The center will be working at the Atlas school complex. Everyone is offered to take six Russian language courses for free, each lasting 36 teaching hours. The classes will introduce residents of the African country to the culture and history of Russia, as well as the regions of the country.

Employees of the Russian House in Brazzaville and the Russian diplomatic mission in the Republic of Congo helped to open the center. The head of the embassy, Georgy Chepik, spoke at the opening ceremony of the Center, calling this event an important step in the development of relations between the two states.

Earlier, the Center for Open Education welcomed its first students in Nigeria. It was created by the Russian State University of Education in Lagos. Russian teachers conducted classes for local students on the Russian language and culture.
