International East-West Russian Language Week kicks off in Istanbul

The International East-West Russian Language Week opens in Istanbul, events will last until October, 13. The week will bring together heads of departments of the Russian language, as well as teachers of Russian as a foreign language (RFL) from Turkey and countries in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North Africa.

RFL teachers will be given free training sessions to improve their skills in the field of organizing and conducting linguodidactic testing.

The organizers of the project are Rossotrudnichestvo, the Russian House in Ankara, the Russian Language Institute of RUDN University, Ibn Khaldun University and the Association of Russian Teachers and Translators of Turkey, as well as the Coordination Council of Organizations of Russian Compatriots of Turkey.

Russian Language Week is being prepared in Laos, it is planned to be held in November, the organizer is the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. The regional authorities noted that several thousand people will join the program, including university students and RFL teachers. They will attend lectures, trainings, seminars and round table discussions.
