Russian-Turkish Culture Week kicked off in Ankara

Film screenings, exhibitions, a book fair and other events are included in the program of the Week of Russian-Turkish Culture, which kicked off on October, 19 in Ankara. The events will last until October, 22, TASS reports.

Antalya Bilim Üniversitesi located in Istanbur invited Rossotrudnichestvo to hold events dedicated to Russian-Turkish culture.

The opening of the Week took place with the participation of the Russian Ambassador to Turkey Alexey Erkhov, who prepared a lecture on the international situation. A Russian film by Mikhail Gusman devoted to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was screened on the first day.

Until October 22, an exhibition of paintings and sculptures by Russian artists will run in the Turkish capital. The screenings of Andrei Tarkovsky's movies, as well as a fair of Russian books and souvenirs, are also going to take place.
