Prima ballerina Priska Zeisel had to leave the troupe of the Bavarian State Ballet, EADaily reports. The dancer's contract with the theater in Munich was terminated after her performance at a concert in Sevastopol.

Prisca Zeisel began working with the Bavarian Ballet in 2016. Over the years, her status rose higher and higher. She received the title of prima ballerina in 2019. The dancer appeared on stage in almost all new productions. In the summer of 2023, she performed the role of Nikia in Minkus’ ballet La Bayadère.

The Munich stages were among the first venues that, after the start of the special military operation, broke off cooperation with Russian artists.

The West began to persecute Russian cultural figures amid general Russophobia. Famous performers who represent Russian culture at the world level are under pressure. Tours of Russian theaters and screenings of Russian films are canceled or simply prohibited.

The famous Russian conductor Valery Gergiev was removed from his post as artistic director and chief conductor of the Munich Orchestra. The corresponding decision was made by the burgomaster of the Bavarian capital. He demanded that the musician ''clearly and unequivocally distance himself'' from Moscow’s actions.

In addition, the maestro's name was removed from the posters in New York, where he was supposed to perform at Carnegie Hall along with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. The performance of the famous pianist Denis Matsuev, whose name was on the same poster, was also canceled.
