Russian Paralympians were allowed to participate in the games in Paris in individual and neutral status, RIA Novosti reports. The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) made the corresponding decision at the general assembly, which took place in Bahrain on Friday, September, 29.

The statement notes that the partial suspension of the Russian Paralympic Committee (RPC) does not apply to athletes.

In May, the IPC Appeals Tribunal upheld the RPC's complaint and overturned the decision to suspend its membership in the organization.

The Russian committee's membership in the IPC was suspended in the fall of 2022, depriving Russian athletes of the opportunity to participate in all international competitions. The RPC's complaint was considered in Dubai, and the tribunal made a decision to restore the Russian committee's membership in the international organization.
